Welcome to 2017! We hope that it will be a great year for you and your family. It’s a particularly special year for us, since it marks our 30th year of providing quality service to the community of Northeastern Indiana when it comes to heating and cooling.
A Little Bit of Our Long History
How did it all start? Let’s flip the calendar back 30 years to 1987…
In May of 1987, Joe Collier decided to leave his previous employer (Danner’s) to start his own HVAC business. He bought a truck and hired a graphic artist to create our original logo. The first job he did as a new business owner was to run a gas line for a lady in Palestine, IN.
Soon after, Gas Fuel and Services—a Lennox dealership—put their business up for sale. Joe didn’t want to make the jump to purchase the company on his own, so he called up his pal Ken Diekhoff, one of his former co-workers of Danner’s. Walmart was treading closely behind Danner’s where they both worked—and so started the story of Joe and Ken’s partnership. In the late summer/early fall of 1987, Ken and Joe teamed up to create Collier’s Commercial Services, Inc.
It’s our goal to bring some of our long history to the present with our 30th Anniversary logo. The original Collier’s logo was orange with a mint green-teal color. We made the choice to incorporate those colors along with the year that our great company started into the new logo.
Also, Collier’s has taken great pride in our position as the most trusted in the industry for three decades. Including trust in this logo shows that significance of this quality for our company. It is what we believe in, and it is a foundation to everything else that we’ve built. This year, everyone is going to know that we’re celebrating an important birthday.
